U.S. History (RUSH) explores the history of the United States through topics such as the 1920s, the Great Depression, World War II and the civil rights movement — focusing on the 20th century.
Junior Yelyzaveta Systaliuk is currently taking the course and is enjoying her experience.
“One thing that I really enjoy is the free feeling of being able to ask questions without [feeling] awkward and uncomfortable,” Systaliuk said. “It really makes me more confident and I think [this class] allows students to connect to the teacher more.”
According to Systaliuk, students spend class time taking notes on lectures and watching educational videos and movies.
“I feel that [the class] is pretty easy for people who try hard enough. As long as you are motivated and concerned about the grade, you will get a good grade,” Systaliuk said. “Personally, I do not spend a lot of time on the class outside school because I mostly do my homework at school, but it usually does not take long.”
