U.S. Government is a semester-long course for seniors. It is a required course, though students have the option of taking the regular level or the AP level. The course curriculum is centered around democratic processes and the social framework that supports the U.S. Government.
Senior Vega Jethani believes the class is reasonably difficult. From her perspective, the class is mostly based on traditional lectures, with many different group projects integrated throughout the course. Jethani preferred being able to collaborate on group projects over the lectures.
Jethani encourages students to study in advance for tests. For her, studying the lecture slides was the most straightforward and effective method. On the whole, she believes the tests align with lecture material, and that the class itself has a well-rounded curriculum.
“My favorite part [was] probably the projects because you got to work with the same group for the entire semester, so you actually became friends with them,” Jethani said.
