In PE Racquet sports, students develop skills such as “strategy and competitive doubles and singles play” in tennis on sunny days and ping pong or badminton on other days. According to senior Chelina Wong, her experience in the class depended on the skills of her friends in the sports.
“It was a pretty chill class — we got to run around, mess around with some of my friends, mainly during badminton,” Wong said. “[My] Badminton improved a lot. Tennis, to be honest, always sucked. One, my friends sucked at tennis, and two, we had to chase the balls everywhere.”
On a scale of one to 10, Wong rates the difficult of the class at one, the class only requiring her attendance. When choosing between PE classes, Wong settled on PE Racquet Sports for greater enjoyment.
“I think [PE Racquet Sports] just seemed the most fun,” Wong said. “I think it was deliberating between weight-training and racquet sports, and eventually I just decided I can weight train on my own time, but racquet sports you also need other people to play.”
